The River Dearne foot bridge is in a dangerous condition! It looks like it has been subject to some kind of fire, and there are large holes in the foot boards. It seems to have been closed off by the authorities, however someone has pulled the barrier's open and people are using the bridge(cross at your own risk).

Winscar Reservoir, near Holmfirth in West Yorkshire, is a picturesque man-made lake dating back to 1850. Surrounded by rolling hills, it offers opportunities for scenic walks, birdwatching, and a peaceful escape in nature.

Cracking viewpoint with 360 degree full panorama views. Great place for a sandwich break.

The footbridge here is a handy connection utility for hikers, bikers and runners. The footpaths are of good quality too and you are surrounded by the beautiful Yorkshire countryside.

The road here passes along the damn wall of Ingbirchworth Reservoir giving great views across the water. It is a popular spot for bird watching and fishing. During very dry spells and drought, the bridge over the river that was dammed can be seen emerging from the water, Summer Ford Bridge.

Winscar Reservoir was created in 1850 and sits just inside the Peak District National Park. From here you can enjoy spectacular scenery and there is a tarmac path between the two car parks up here which can be ridden by road bike. There is often an ice cream van here in the summer.

My new happy place! The views are hard earned with the steep climbs on the edges but once you're up, you can see everything!

The village received a Royal Charter in 1254 entitling it to hold a market on Thursdays and an annual three-day fair. A butter cross was built, the base of which survives.

Paved path around Winscar reservoir that's part of the Transpennine Trail route. It's suitable for all bikes but gets very popular with visitors as there's a big car park at the northern end.

Great views as you would expect from this part of the world.
