Great little cafe. Good range of breakfast and cakes. Reasonably priced. Indoor and outdoor seating. Lots of easy / safe bike storage.

Known by the Romans as "the market of the Iceni" (Venta Icenorum) this was one of the strongholds of the Iceni Tribe. It was the centre of the revolt led by Queen Boudicca against the Roman invasion in AD 60/61. Today the site is one of three major British/Roman towns which has not been built on. Roman embankments and fortifications can be seen today.

The Wymondham Waterfall Steps are formed where the River Wreake flows over a series of low weirs or cascades, creating a small "waterfall" effect.

Founded in 1107 by William d'Aubigny, the butler to King Henry I, Wymondham Abbey was once a thriving monastery. However, it was closed during the Dissolution of the Monasteries under King Henry VIII, with the abbey officially surrendered to the crown in 1538. Today, the building serves as an Anglican parish church.

Impressive fortress that still dominates the centre of Norwich. Now a museum.

There are two cycle paths, in it is better to take to the segregated into town on Newmarket Rd. in Winter there will be ice, and you fall off!!! (I did... twice)

Great place to pack in those Carbs

A short distance from the main market square area, on the edge of the town centre. Howard's Cycles is handily just a few yards further down the road if you're in need of any spares or repairs.

Has that curious thing of being impressively intact at one end but partially ruined at the other. Very grand for a parish church!

Just a signal box and a level crossing over the single track line. Not a busy line so the crossing is rarely closed!

Quaint market town with the usual collection of shops and cafes making it a good place for a ride break.

Norwich Castle is undergoing major works to restore the floors to their original level of the 12th century so future visitors can truly appreciate what life in the castle was like when it was built. It is still possible to appreciate the royal Norman fortress from the outside.

Wymondham is a gorgeous market town in South Norfolk that dates back to the Anglo-Saxon period. Known as a centre for woodturning and brush-making, many of the factories of Wymondham were still in action until the late 1900s.

This small patch of lowland heath makes a dramatic change to the nearby Waveney Valley and its water meadows. Just south-west of the market town of Diss, rambling around this beautiful open access land is extremely pleasant and the Angles Way long-distance footpath cuts right through it.
