The town fortifications of Weismain represent a significant historical feature of the town. Approximately three-quarters of them are preserved and encircle the historic town center in a striking ring. The construction of the town wall likely took place shortly after Weismain was granted town status in 1313. The core of the current structure dates from the 14th century. In the 15th century, the fortifications were expanded, particularly with the construction of the town moat and its retaining walls. Further renovations and reinforcements were carried out in the 18th century. The wall consists primarily of local sandstone ashlar masonry, which gives the town its characteristic appearance.

The neighboring malthouse and the factory owner's villa, which are reflected in the dammed water, are particularly beautiful.

The houses and the banks of the Main River in Marktzeuln are beautiful. The traffic light system, however, is completely useless for cyclists. That's why I usually cycle slowly and leisurely along the sidewalk, ignoring the phases. It only gets narrow at the upper gate. Here, you might want to use the traffic lights as a guide.

Weismain has a pretty town center, which is currently under construction

Klosterlangheim is a district of the Upper Franconian town of Lichtenfels in the Lichtenfels district. The village is located about five kilometers from Lichtenfels and has a population of around 400. The town dates back to the important Cistercian monastery of Langheim, founded in 1132/33 and dissolved in 1803. The remaining large buildings are a reminder of the monastery that existed there for 670 years. Klosterlangheim lies in a spiral valley through which the Leuchsenbach stream flows. To protect against flooding, the monks had both retention basins built outside the village and a system of tunnels that carried the water underground through the monastery complex. Fish ponds were created along the southern upper reaches of the Leuchsenbach and along its tributaries.
