An extremely important habitat for plants and animals. It's beautifully designed, with beautiful signs that explain what's crawling and flying around there. Unfortunately, there are always some idiots who stick stickers or graffiti on these signs – what a pity!

There are very beautiful and well-maintained hiking trails around Herzo Airport. At the airport itself, there's a fantastic pizzeria – a family-run business – with super friendly staff, absolutely amazing pizza, and the other food is also excellent. When the weather's nice, there's a great terrace right next to the runway. It's a MUST-visit.
