Nice and flat and reasonably well surfaced ex railway line now dedicated for cycling, horses and walkers. There are a selection of different seats made of old railway sleepers.
The path crosses over the Trent on a long, old viaduct.
St Peter's is a Grade 2 listed parish Church in Doddington. The building dates back to the 1700s but but the church has a chalice from the 1500s and a 1600s alms basin. It's situated next to Doddington Hall, Lincolnshire.
Completed in 1849, it carried the main line of the Manchester, Sheffield and Lincolnshire Railway over the River Trent. The railway closed in 1959 but was restored and opened to the public in 2015. It is a Grade II listed.
Great cycle cafe. Good coffee and fantastic carrot cake!. Open all week. Can get busy on Saturdays and Sundays. Ambassador led bike rides every Sat & Sun in the local area.
