Only upon reaching this monument will the passing walker or hiker realize that this is not one of the small religious monuments so often encountered. This symbol of the death of Jesus Christ, rising like a summit cross, serves instead as a war memorial. It was erected to commemorate the many victims of war and tyranny everywhere, including here, during the first half of the 20th century. Despite the considerable passage of time, such a memorial has lost none of its relevance: its constant reminder to us and all future generations to preserve peace remains the enduring message of this monument.

This Kneipp pool is located between the monastery and the mill pond. With a little background knowledge and instructions, you can plunge into the fun here.

New footbridges have been built/are being built on the west side of the mill pond to replace the old wooden ones. Planned completion in 2025. In combination with the footbridge on the other side of the mill pond, this is a very attractive opportunity to spend time by the water...
