I love this descent. The title should be taken with a grain of salt. The upper part of Albis is great for running and I have done it myself several times. I live in Kempten and pass by often. You should brake at the latest at the left bend before Ottacker. The following right bend gets steeper and at the beginning of the town there are a few farm entrances.

The King Ludwig Bridge, built between 1847 and 1852, is one of the world's oldest wooden railway bridges. It is the oldest bridge in Europe to be built as a so-called Howe girder. On April 20, 2012, the Federal Chamber of Engineers awarded the structure a "Historical Landmark of Civil Engineering in Germany." It is part of the bridge ensemble over the Iller, where the development of architecture at the end of the 19th and beginning of the 20th century is evident in the contrast between the wooden railway bridge built in 1848 and the world's largest rammed concrete bridges built between 1904 and 1906. The King Ludwig Bridge is a unique testament to early civil engineering. Over the course of more than 160 years, this bridge has suffered damage, which has prevented the bridge from being used as an important pedestrian and cycle path connection over the Iller since October 2013. The aim of this project was to restore the bridge in accordance with its status as a listed building and to develop and implement a new experience for the bridge so that it can once again live up to its national and international significance.
