Lovely little place. A great cafe stop with good food. There is cycle parking and a bike maintenance station for. Worth a visit.

Lovely place for walk, bike ride or even boat trip or going on rowing boats.

In the case of a "market cross," such as the one we encounter once again in the center of Chichester, one would have to ask the fundamental question of whether it is actually primarily a small sacred monument—as its cross shape suggests—or whether it is more of a secular object. In times long past, such a cross—unlike the classic wayside crosses or field crosses—was only allowed to be erected on site if the locality in question also possessed so-called "market rights"—that is, if it had been granted a corresponding privilege by the local ruler.

Very unique presentation of rural cottages& houses. Gives a glimpse of rural lifestyle during the centuries from the 16th to 19th century. You can find a working Mill on site, the day when I visited they grounded 60kg of flour. Very nicely kept grounds, lots of hands on experience. Recommended.

This lock is between Chichester Harbour and the Portsmouth to Arundel Canal

At high tide the water comes very close to the rode here. It's a good place to have a view over this bay and to watch the changing of tides.

From this basin at the border of Chichester city centre the Chichester Canal takes its course to the see. It's a nice place for a short stay also with some beautiful art installations.
