The small town doesn't have much to offer, except for the Catholic church. The Catholic church in Waldleiningen is dedicated to Saint Joseph. It was built in 1953 and consecrated the same year. The church building's distinctive feature is its 16-meter-high tower. Source and more: https://westpfalz.wiki/wiki/katholische-kirche-st-josef-in-waldleiningen

In the Karlstal Gorge, you walk along narrow paths beside a natural, rushing river. Accompanied by rock formations and idyllic spots, you repeatedly cross the river, a beautiful experience.

A cozy bench with a fountain nearby. Ideal for a biker break.

The Ritterstein marks the location of a watering hole where animals were once watered. Its name derives from the former Otterberg monastery property. The cattle watering hole was located on the old road that connected Perlenburg, Breitenau, Espensteig, Aspach, Otterberger Sohl, Stall, and Waldleiningen. The forest area, along with the Hilsberger Hof, once a Franconian royal estate and later called the Stüterhof, was a gift from the Leiningen family to the Cistercian monastery of Otterberg. The gift was confirmed in 1195. The Otterberg forest area, later called the Stüterwald, was very remote for the monks and was only accessible via the old road mentioned above. The monks of the monastery ran a horse breeding business there. When the monastery reached its financial end, Elector Ludwig III (1378-1436) acquired the farm and the associated Otterberg forest area in 1426.
