This plateau, at an altitude of around 500 metres, offers a flat area between the peaks of Tonfjelett and Steigtinden. A pretty hiking trail crosses it, in a rocky landscape dotted with small lakes.

Steigtinden is located in Sjunkhatten National Park and is one of the must-see peaks in Bodømarka. At 793 metres above sea level, it is the second highest peak in the region. The climb is challenging, but the view is well worth the effort.

Skauskardet is a mountain pass that provides access to several nearby mountains, such as Skaugtuva, Tonfjellet and Steigtinden. Water is also omnipresent here, with views of the sea and the lakes Skauskarvatnet and Rundvatnet, among others.

Skaugtuva Summit is a rewarding hike that delivers stunning panoramic views of the surrounding mountains and fjords. It’s an excellent spot to experience Northern Norway’s dramatic landscapes and feel the thrill of reaching a serene high point.

This beautiful lake is visited on the hike up to Keiservarden. These trails are much-loved by the people of Bødo. The trail here was inaugurated by Queen Sonja in 2016 and it's thought that around 100,000 locals ascend to Keiservarden every year.

Keiservarden is a real favourite for the people of Bødo. In 2016, Queen Sonja officially open the sherpa-built trail up to the summit. At the top of the climb, there's a circular viewfinder that allows you to name the surrounding islands and peaks.
