At the small viewpoint in Bjonnasen, you’ll find a wide, sweeping view of rolling forests stretching all the way to the horizon. There’s also a map marker that will help you interpret the landscape.

A very beautiful spot for a picnic break. And, of course, for a wonderful view over the lake.

Most of these small dams were built for local water regulation. They are part of the network of hiking trails and useful landmarks.

Tucked away in the heart of Østmarka, Mønevann is a serene lake just a short walk from Losby. It’s a perfect spot for a peaceful break along your hike. The clear water, natural shoreline, and small wooden dock make it especially popular in summer, but the area remains calm and scenic year-round.

Idyllic place to go with the family

Elvåga is a lake in Østmarka on the border between Lørenskog and Oslo municipalities. Elvåga has been used as drinking water since 1941 and supplies 10% of Oslo's population. In 1964 a 14 m high dam was built south of Turisthytte Mariholtet, separating the so-called Fri-Elvåga. In the northernmost area, separated by the dam, bathing and fishing is permitted; in the south, this is not permitted because it is used as a drinking water reservoir.

Wonderful trip to the idyllic Losby farm. There is coffee and cake. It is also a great place for families.
