In Vangshaugen, there is a historic, beautiful cabin belonging to the DNT, the Norwegian Trekking Association. The wooden cabin, where you can also stay overnight, is located directly on the shore of Lake Storvatnet. You can find detailed information about the cabin, including how to make a reservation, here: https://ut.no/hytte/10797/vangshaugen.

The Grovudalen Valley is a protected area nestled between the hills of the Dovrefjell-Sunndalsfjella National Park. The river Grovu, which gives the valley its name, flows wildly through the valley floor. Several marked hiking trails lead here, and the nearest paved road is about seven kilometres north in Hallen, where there is also a car park. Here at the Grøvudalshytta hut, there is also a farm where cheese is produced in summer (https://innergammelsetra.no/).

Innerdalshytta enjoys the tremendous backdrop of mighty Innerdalstårnet, sometimes cited as the Matterhorn of Norway. This DNT cabin provides accommodation and, during the summer months, there's food and drink available.

Renndølsetra is a mountain pasture farm in an absolutely idyllic setting. There's accommodation, with evening meals for guests, while hikers not staying can also sample some local produce here too. It's a great place for a break in beautiful Innerdalen.

The medium difficulty level is very optimistic. I would call it tough because of the steep climb in the beginning and the long even steeper descent just before the end. There is no walking here, climbing and scrambling is a better term.
