Forest Lake is one of the many lakes nestled peacefully in this forest. Its north shore offers the best view of the lake, as it features small clearings right at the water’s edge, whereas the rest of the lake is lined with trees all the way to the shore.

This part of the Homlastien provides exceptional views of the cascades. Although there's a fair bit of elevation gain on the run to Storfossen from Hommelvik, it's worth it for the natural beauty of the surroundings.
