Rømskog Church is a distinctive wooden church located near the village of Rømskog. Its traditional architecture makes it a noticeable landmark in the area. It's worth a brief stop during your ride to experience the quiet setting of the churchyard.

This stretch of gravel road takes you along the edge of Rømsjøen lake. It offers a nice alternative to paved routes, suitable for gravel or touring bikes with wider tyres. Enjoy pedalling with views across the water and through the surrounding forest.

Fågelåsen is the highest mountain in the area at 323 m. From the observation tower, which was built in 1999, you have a very wide view of the surrounding area as far as Norway. The path to the observation tower is very wet, so don't forget suitable footwear.

A small farm made a great spot to socialize with the local fauna: a family of sheep that was very keen to find out what we had hiding in our snack bags.

Unfortunately, the castle is not at the marked place, but almost 3 km further. (Best to look at Google Maps)

This fortress is hidden in the forest. Cannons and good view.
