The view from the summit is the finale of a wonderful hike through the Strøndalen valley. However, climbing the exposed summit requires sure-footedness and experience.

Grønnåsen is not a peak offering a 360° panorama. Rather, it belongs to the category of peaks where you can enjoy the peace and quiet and green surroundings. In some places, however, you can still enjoy small windows onto the fjord.

It is a superb forest trail that offers magnificent views of the fjord when the vegetation thins out.

This monument displays part of the structure of one of Scandinavia's oldest clinker-built boats. A clinker-built boat is a vessel whose hull planks are laid over each other like roof tiles. This monument is an anthropological interpretation of the original frame and was erected on the initiative of Tor Bergsmo from Stokmarknas. Several scientists contributed to the realization of this project.

Part of a rib from a four- or six-sided boat, discovered in a bog near Barøya, Stokmarknas. The rib was originally made of pine wood and dates from 320-440 AD. The rib belonged to one of the oldest clinker-built boats in Scandinavia. Traces of several Iron Age boathouses can still be seen at the rectory in Hadsel and in Rabiogen, Langaya, and this boat likely belonged to one of these sites. This memorial is an anthropological interpretation of the original rib and was erected at the initiative of Tor Bergsmo from Stokmarknas.
