Super steep at the end. The way up is okay. The way down is rather tough; it's a sloping, exposed, rocky, and sandy path. Only recommended in good conditions and if you don't mind going downhill.

Ryten is a deservedly popular objective, adored by hikers and a superb objective for a run. The views from the top down to the idyllic Kvalvika beach are sumptuous. Take care on the path up, as the cliff edge is never far away... and it's very steep.

This Lofoten beach jewel is surrounded by rugged mountains and about two hours' walk from the nearest road. Kvalvika comprises two sandy beaches separated by a rock. Untouched and mostly deserted, Kvalvika is worth the effort of the hike. Simply a dream, almost like being in the South Seas

Overlooking Kvalvika Beach, Ryten offers one of the most spectacular views in Lofoten. Seen from the beach, the mountain resembles a massive cliff rising 543 meters (1,782 ft) directly from the sea.

Pretty steep and hard to climb ascent - you have to climb over large boulders and occasional mud fields if it’s rainy.

Fantastic panoramic views over two of the most photographed locations in the Lofoten: Hustinden and the Skagsanden beach. This is a good change of perspective compared to photographing them from the ground. Also I believe this would be a great location to view the northern lights from, for this willing to hike at night with a headlamp.
