Rooms with sea views, large terrace from which you can watch the Northern Lights and shared kitchen

At the end of my route is Midnightsol Camping, right on the beach with a separate camping area. A little further along the harbor is the rorbu with about nine rooms and a fully equipped shared kitchen. Eight rooms have sea views. It also has a large terrace from where you can watch the Northern Lights starting in September. The rorbu can be booked at the campsite reception or online.

Well-guided whale and bird safaris are offered from this vantage point.

A very nice café, highly recommended. Delicious cakes, sandwiches, and soup. With a lovely terrace and a small shop.

The lighthouse is the northernmost in Nordland county and the fourth highest in all of Norway. The lighthouse was put into operation in 1859 after a need for it was felt due to fishing and the increasing shipping traffic in the area. In 1999, the building was listed as a monument and the lighthouse became a tourist attraction, as it can also be climbed for 100 NOK.
