The Romsdal Gondola provides an easy way up or down to Nesaksla, opening up intriguing possibilities for a run. There's also the Eggen Restaurant here, a good place for a refuel if you've just run the Romsdalseggen Ridge. The view of Åndalsnes and beyond from up here is sensational.

Towards the end of the classic Romsdalseggen route, the viewpoint at Nebba reveals a lovely view of Åndalsnes. Known as the mountaineering capital of Norway and surrounded by simply astonishing scenery, it's no wonder the region was chosen as home by legendary runner Kilian Jornet.

Mjølvafjellet is the highest point on the Romsdalseggen Ridge, one of Norway's great ridge routes. At 3,990 feet (1,216 m) it affords stupendous views across to Åndalsnes, the Trollveggen cliff and the Trolltinder peaks, as well as down to the meandering Rauma.

The museum has a modern exhibition that tells the history and development of mountaineering in a variety of ways. You can also touch and try out the equipment. The indoor climbing wall has 60 climbing routes spread over 20 anchor points. The café has space for 100 people indoors, with additional seating outside.

Very good view of both valleys below the Romsdalseggen.

If you hike the entire ridge, you will have to do some climbing from the east side. From the west side, however, the summit is no problem. The view from there is simply fantastic!

Museum of Norwegian Mountain Sports as well as the visitor center for Reimheimen National Park. There is also a small restaurant.

Nice little promenade with tourist information, gondola and playground.
