Mjølvafjellet is the highest point on the Romsdalseggen Ridge, one of Norway's great ridge routes. At 3,990 feet (1,216 m) it affords stupendous views across to Åndalsnes, the Trollveggen cliff and the Trolltinder peaks, as well as down to the meandering Rauma.

A not exactly cheap ascent/descent, but the view is almost priceless. We are glad we did it...

If you hike the entire ridge, you will have to do some climbing from the east side. From the west side, however, the summit is no problem. The view from there is simply fantastic!

We took the liberty of taking the gondola down the mountain. Our knees didn't like it, the wallet didn't. 🥴🤣👌 32 euros per person is a house number. But hey it's vacation.
