This short stretch immerses you in a charming, peaceful green setting. If you find yourself drawn to the climb ahead, remember to turn around and admire the view of the bay and lake.

This climb is worth every step, if only for the incredible view of the lake from the summit. There is even a small shelter there if you need it.

You can find here a wooden teepee, standing on the rock, and facing the bay. You can enter inside, have a break and enjoy the view.

Bautasteiner is an ancient site with seven standing stones. It is dated from the Iron Age but has been reconstructed by Jan Petersen in 1952. Only one of the seven stones was in it’s original location when it was registered in 1919.

At the tip of Holsundet, which you reach after a beautiful hike through the woods, you arrive at a large rocky terrace. From here, you have a superb view of Grindafjord and its islands.

You walk peacefully along this trail, surrounded by nature. Green fields encircle you, and a cool stream runs close to the path. Continuing, you arrive at the summit of Valhest, from where you can enjoy a splendid panorama.

Valhest is known for offering extensive panoramic views. Despite its lower elevation compared to Norway's giants, the summit provides a sweeping vantage point over the surrounding area, including large parts of Rogaland and into neighboring Vestland (formerly Hordaland).

This waterside shelter is a dream location. In addition to the view, you can find a grill, sports equipment, and all in a peaceful natural setting.
