The climb doesn't require much effort. The path is paved and easy to walk all the way to the lake. The total distance to the lake is approximately 5 km.

These well-built Sherpa steps help you climb the steeper part of the trail towards the summit. Partway up, there's a great viewpoint where you can catch your breath and enjoy the surrounding fjord views.

From this high mountain viewpoint, the Svelgabreen glacier lies clearly in view, nestled between rocky slopes and alpine terrain. The setting feels open and raw, with the ice forming a striking centerpiece in the landscape.
