The highest top in the area and thus a must do on its own right. Be prepared for a bit of snow early in the season and some rock scrambling. The more direct route from/to redningshytten requires some mountaineering skills and is not advised for unexperienced hikers.

The station is so small, that most of the train stops within the tunnel - quite unique sight.

If you want to go north, you have to take the train from Trengereid, because the main road has tunnels that are forbidden for bicycles. You can take the train at least as far as Vaksdal (from there there are no longer any forbidden tunnels on the main road), or as far as Stanghelle, because the main road between Vaksdal and Stanghelle is not easy to drive. Train tickets can easily be bought digitally with the Vy app.
