The RurUfer Cycle Route is a cycle path that runs along the Rur River for approximately 180 kilometers. It begins near the Rur's source at the highest point in Belgium, the Botrange in the High Fens, and continues to its confluence with the Meuse in Roermond, Netherlands. In between, the route runs largely through German territory. At Kalterherberg, the route crosses the Belgian-German border and runs through Monschau, past the Obersee lake and the Rur Dam to Heimbach. From there, it continues north via Nideggen and Kreuzau, through the Düren district, and then through the Heinsberg district. Behind the Effelder Waldsee, the cycle path crosses the German-Dutch border. It ends at the Rur estuary in Roermond.

The Our is a 96 km long tributary of the Sauer along the border between Belgium and Germany. The Vennbahn crosses the national borders several times in this area. The landscape in the valley of the Our is simply beautiful and you can't get enough of it.
