This church was built in 1852-1853, probably based on a design by Louis Minard. In 1899, the church was extended based on a design by Hendrik Geirnaert. The church was withdrawn from worship in 2021. The municipality of Maarkedal became the owner of the building. (Wikipedia)

A nice climb on good asphalt. The first 400m averages 6%. A steep section up to 11% for the next 400m, then a bit of pushing, averaging 4%. A nice challenge, and a beautiful view on the right.
