There is no information about its history or year of construction, but it is said to have served as a storage facility for explosives and ammunition during World War II. This explosive was intended to destroy the traffic routes as the enemy approached. This was intended to slow down their advance. For this purpose, blasting shafts were set into streets, but also in field and forest paths, and these can still be found in many places here in the Habichtswald.
