The signs provide more information about Gaasbeek Castle. Once built in 1236 to defend Brabant, now a fairytale castle where you can effortlessly imagine yourself centuries back. Inside, you walk from knights' hall to 'chambre rouge', past paintings, stained glass windows and the bath of Marchioness Arconati Visconti. Outside, a park full of old trees, a Napoleonic triumphal arch and a museum garden with forgotten vegetables await you.

The old watermill from 1392 at the Pede is located in the municipality of Dilbreek and is a protected monument. At the end of 1990 the mill was restored again so that it is once again operational.
