The former mill town of Rebecq still has two showpieces: the Grote Molen and the Kleine Molen. The Great Mill, made of brick and stone, was built between 1858 and 1860 on foundations from the 16th century. Barley, oats and rye were ground with this mill. Today it is a museum dedicated to the mining of purple stone from Quesnast, a commune near Rebecq. Only wheat was milled in the Kleine Molen. It now contains a forge and an old engine room that still works.

The Mills of the Dukes of Arenberg, transformed into a tourist and cultural center, were built at the end of the 14th century on the banks of the Senne. The large mill today includes an impressive machinery (driven by a paddle wheel with a diameter of 7.50 m), the Porphyry Museum and temporary exhibitions. In addition to evocating the paving stones known all over the world as 'Belgian blocks', the history of porphyry, the Quenast quarries and the hard labor of the 'cayoteux', the name given to the workers in the quarries.
