A great woodland setting for a bit of fresh air, a bit of elevation change, or just plain beauty. There's enough elevation change for some truly demanding trail training, and by approaching it differently (starting near the golf course, for example, and following the valley more in its length), it's also possible to maintain a more manageable elevation gain. The wetlands at the bottom are truly charming. Combine with the golf course, the arboretum, Lake LLN, or the Bois des Rêves. A must-see in the BW!

Le Bois des Rêves, located near Ottignies-Louvain-la-Neuve in the province of Walloon Brabant, is a beautiful forest area that fully lives up to its name (the "Forest of Dreams"). You walk between tall trees, past open grasslands and peaceful ponds. Nature is in abundance, with numerous species of birds singing and the occasional squirrel hopping through the trees.

Relax walk around the lac

For those who like climbing steep hills, there is an excellent climb up Rue Arthur Hardy from its junction with Rue Achille Bauduin. At its top you arrive at the entrance to LLN golf club. I have to confess that I can only walk up it but then again I am 82.

We find the most famous cartoonist in comics smiling, his cat on his shoulders, sitting on a pile of albums drawing. If you approach the statue, he smiles at you and you have the impression that he is drawing you. This statue is magnificent and it is not surprising because the sculptor who created it is far from being unknown in Brussels. It is in fact to Tom Frantzen that we owe the statues of Jacques Brel, Madame Chapeau and Zinneke which are so dear to our city center.
