Charming village. A lovely loop from Visp via Bürchen, Eischoll to Turtmann, and then along the Rhone on the side road via Gampel / Steg back to Visp.

Leukerbad is located at the end of the Dalatal in a picturesque location surrounded by high rock faces. The village is known above all for its thermal springs, which were already used in Roman times.

When coming from Visp from Neubrück, be sure to take the old cantonal road on the western side of the valley. This climb is a very special jewel among the pass roads, the piste is excellent, the characteristics varied. Only on very hot days can the climb be a little strenuous due to very little shade - in such cases, getting up early helps a lot.

Great base camp for tours in the upper and central Valais. Simplon Pass, Moosalp, Zermatt and Santesch Pass are within easy reach, not to mention the many quiet and challenging side routes up the Valais flanks.
