Pfarrkirche St. Michael – Stalden Pfarrkirche St. Michael의 특징적인 탑은 Stalden의 역사적인 마을 풍경을 형성합니다. 현재의 바로크 양식 건물은 1777년 이전 교회가 있던 자리에 지어졌으며, Mattervispa와 Saaservispa가 합류하는 지점 위로 인상적으로 솟아 있습니다. 밝은 교회 공간에는 화려하게 장식된 중앙 제단, 예술적인 측면 제단, 역사적인 설교대가 깊은 인상을 줍니다. 교회 주변의 잘 가꾸어진 묘지와 전통적인 발레 홀츠(Walliser Holzhäuser) 목조 가옥들은 다리의 마을인 Stalden의 오랜 역사를 떠올리게 합니다. 또한 이곳에서는 Mattertal과 Saastal 계곡, 그리고 주변 산악 지역의 아름다운 전망을 감상할 수 있습니다.

Charming village. A lovely loop from Visp via Bürchen, Eischoll to Turtmann, and then along the Rhone on the side road via Gampel / Steg back to Visp.

Beautiful view on the other side if rhône valley. On suisse national day, 1st of august, they often do a water/laser show here.

When coming from Visp from Neubrück, be sure to take the old cantonal road on the western side of the valley. This climb is a very special jewel among the pass roads, the piste is excellent, the characteristics varied. Only on very hot days can the climb be a little strenuous due to very little shade - in such cases, getting up early helps a lot.

Great base camp for tours in the upper and central Valais. Simplon Pass, Moosalp, Zermatt and Santesch Pass are within easy reach, not to mention the many quiet and challenging side routes up the Valais flanks.
