The castle has been the pride of Vorselaar for centuries. Around 1270, the first stone was laid by the knights of Rotselaar. The ground plan has been largely preserved to this day. The castle houses a treasure trove of history and stories, and has been inhabited by noble families all this time.

Very beautiful medieval castle in the middle of a beautiful forest. A real relief to come here and walk undisturbed.

The entrance to the black trail in Herentals marks the start of a challenging and technical MTB route, especially for experienced mountain bikers. This trail offers steep climbs, fast descents and sharp turns that will test your agility and strength. Surrounded by dense forests and with a rough terrain, this is a must for those who love the beautiful nature of the Antwerp Kempen.

This part of the permanent mountain bike route runs over a sandy surface. In dry weather this requires some technical riding experience. You can see the tourist tower here nicely.
