The Kabouterberg (Gnome Mountain) in the Kempen Hills is a unique experience for children aged 3 to 7. In a beautiful forest with many paths, you'll find all sorts of gnome-themed buildings, play areas, information boards—in short, everything themed around gnomes. You can walk on your own (the gnome walk is signposted), play, explore, or participate in various activities such as daily stories. A wonderful place to walk with children.

The mill, a colossus weighing over thirty tons, was moved to this location in 1954 and was then designated a protected monument. Previously, the mill stood on Kerkenbergen, along the road to Retie. (Information board on site)

To overcome the impassable height difference of the weir in Kasterlee, a short fish ladder was constructed with 20 successive sills. The fish ladder consists of V-shaped sills with vertical passages in the middle. This makes the sills passable for all fish species found in the Kleine Nete. Research on the similar fish ladder in Herentals (Spaans Hof) has shown that such fish ladders are very effective and attractive to migrating fish species. (Nieuws.be)

Le Paige Castle dates from 1892 and incorporates elements from the Renaissance, Baroque, and Classical periods. The interior features hints of Art Nouveau. The castle includes an arboretum. The complex is called Domaine Le Paige, a reference to the Le Paige family who long owned it.
