The road is a bit rough. From there, either go up to Franière along the Sambre or head towards Namur via Profondeville, which are two very pleasant directions.

Mountain biking is often essential in this area. The trail is very muddy for a good part of the year. It's very pleasant to ride, especially from southwest to northeast (slight descent). In dry weather, it's very pleasant. When it's slightly/moderately muddy, it's still quite fun indeed.

Magnificent descent, quite long and with a fairly steep gradient for the region (+ or - 70m from the river to the summit). Moderately steep overall but enough to quickly get a good speed. Some small sections at a little over 16%. The further down you go, the rockier the path is. The end of the descent is outlined with, at first, a fairly tight bend and a little further on a technical hairpin. Very pleasant in summer and relatively little muddy in winter except for the first part up high which is still passable. Interesting in all seasons. Very pleasant setting: varied woods then rocky oak grove, then meadow and river.

From the viewpoint, you can enjoy the changing landscape: the river meanders through the region, with vast fields and forests adorning its banks. The picturesque villages along the Sambre add a historical and cultural element to the view. In the distance, you can often see a beautiful interplay of nature and architecture, with old castles, mills and churches.

This well-preserved building, with its robust towers and elegant Renaissance facades, has undergone various modifications over the centuries. Surrounded by a picturesque garden and a wide moat, it is an impressive example of Walloon castles and an atmospheric place to explore the history of the region.
