The archaeological testimony of the beginning of the journey into the past of the Belgian Ardennes and the world of the Celts in general. All aspects of the labels listed below are: clothing, housing, tools, trade, funeral customs and more. The visit ends with an overview of Celtic heritage and the misconceptions that circulate about it. If you go there, you will have the opportunity to see about a hundred exhibits from the 5th to the 2nd century BC. as well as models and reconstructions of the daily life of the Celts. Very old Ardennes village whose houses are clustered around the shale spur on which is located the church which gave its name to the village, The village has retained a classic appearance over the ages as evidenced by the few farms from the end of the 18th and 19th centuries. Among the curiosities, we will also note the town hall, built in place of the old 17th century castle, as well as the distillery which, between 1884 and 1970, manufactured quality herbal liqueurs in an artisanal manner. The Chapel of Hope and its naive-inspired fresco are also a must-see.

Start of the RAVeL line 163 from Libramont-Chevigny to ... All the way is excellent gravel. There are height differences but they are so small that you do not notice them. Recommended for a quick long distance.
