In addition to the animals, there is also a fantastic view of the mountains here. Roughly from the Upper Allgäu mountains to the left over the Zugspitze with the Austrian Ausserfern and the Eastern Allgäu mountains.

It goes uphill in both directions, although the climb to Grönenbach is steep and long at times. It is nicer from Grönenbach to the bridge and further to Legau, Leutkirch or Illerbeuren with the museum and the Grömerhof inn.
