Barrages d'Armentières: On the edge of Armentières lies a unique weir on the Lys, a technical junction that regulates the water level and keeps the river navigable. This weir is not only functional, but also historical: during the Battle of the Lys in April 1918, German troops tried to break through to the Channel ports via this passage. The weir and bridges were strategic targets at the time.

On the section between the Halluin-Tourcoing greenway and the La Lys cycle path, two nice and fun little bumps.

This section on the south side of the Rive Leie has a long stretch of off road double track, the surface differs, from moderately smooth to dried out tractor treads left in the soil. It is quite fast to ride through and fun

What a beautiful historic farm is the Ferme du Mont Saint-Jean. The farm is now owned by the municipality, which has given it several functions: educational activities for groups (animal park, orchard, vegetable garden, bread oven, etc.), an exhibition space, a reception area, a thematic library and modern equipment for organizing seminars. The Gasthuisbosdreef in Zonnebeke is a beautiful route for mountain bikers, with a combination of straight sections and challenging forest paths. The avenue takes you through densely overgrown areas and along narrow paths that test your technical skills, especially in wet weather.

A short detour from the greenway to immerse yourself in the pleasant path that crosses this small wood.
