The obelisk of this war memorial is crowned by an eagle, the proud heraldic animal of many nations. The dialect group "Bläck Fööss" from Cologne (North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany) wrote a song about a memorial to the fallen in Cologne's Südstadt district, which is also crowned by an eagle. The lyrics by Hans Knipp read: "But as long as the eagle stands on the stone, as long as it's good, for when he once flew, there he only brought misery and trouble. When I see a lonely shadow in the stone, then I think of you and myself, and I have only one wish, that the eagle never flees again." We stopped here once after a hike. We really enjoyed the garden. And the Melange, or iced coffee, was also delicious. We can't comment on the food; we only had coffee. But maybe we'll try it another time :)

An insect hotel, just as it should be. The 5-star rating is certainly appropriate given its size and amenities. You'll also find a place to rest.

It's fun to walk and/or balance across the bridge here. Even if you have nothing to do on the other side. Somehow, you "have to" cross it :)
