It's well-suited for a family day out at the thermal baths. For me, a visit on my own is too "big." I prefer a more compact thermal bath in the area.

We used to enjoy spending a family day at the thermal baths here. However, quite a bit has changed over the years. The "textile" and "textile-free" areas have been redesigned by the new management. The snack bar in the Schaffelbad is also no longer there in its old form. We liked it better before. But we'll definitely stop by again sometime and post an update here.

The obelisk of this war memorial is crowned by an eagle, the proud heraldic animal of many nations. The dialect group "Bläck Fööss" from Cologne (North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany) wrote a song about a memorial to the fallen in Cologne's Südstadt district, which is also crowned by an eagle. The lyrics by Hans Knipp read: "But as long as the eagle stands on the stone, as long as it's good, for when he once flew, there he only brought misery and trouble. When I see a lonely shadow in the stone, then I think of you and myself, and I have only one wish, that the eagle never flees again." A little curious, but still worth seeing. At the main square, you'll find a park-like, green space with numerous flowerbeds, a "lower lamb heart," and—you wouldn't believe it—a golden cow! You'd expect to see a "lamb"... ;)
