I am always fascinated by the different architectural styles of churches.

The church, which stands outside the historic center, is estimated to have been built in the 13th century. The original frescoes on the northern interior wall of the church also support this age. The wall paintings and the preserved support beams only extend to the middle of the nave and convey an impression of the church's original size.

The Saale Valley Bridge along the A4 motorway near Jena is not only one of the most impressive bridges in Germany, but also a significant monument to the history and progress of bridge construction. It carries the B88, two Deutsche Bahn tracks, the Saale River, and the Saale floodplain. With its 17 main arches, it rises as a striking arched bridge made of limestone masonry. At 794.27 meters long, it was once the longest motorway bridge in the former Reichsautobahn network and remains an indispensable component of one of Thuringia's busiest intersections. The castle cafe is highly recommended. Delicious food and moderate prices in a pleasant atmosphere.

A beautiful 🏰 with an interactive museum, the Bridge of Wishes 🍀, and the castle tavern 😋. Events are held here several times a year. The hiking trails around the 🏰 are simply stunning and offer magnificent views 😍.
