A beautiful park. A great place to enjoy a stroll. There are many beautiful motifs to admire.

The Webicht is a deciduous forest of ash, maple, and elm located northeast of the town. The area, which extends toward Tiefurt, was first documented in cartographic records in 1778. During the Baroque period, it was a popular royal hunting ground and venue for events. Johann Wolfgang von Goethe is said to have enjoyed visiting the forest with his daughter-in-law Ottilie. Karl Buchholz and Christian Rohls of the Weimar School of Painting also drew inspiration from it for their motifs. In 1945, the Gestapo committed a mass murder of 149 prisoners of the Buchenwald concentration camp in the Webicht. A memorial stone near the entrance to Tiefurt commemorates this event. The Süßenborn village well is a unique structure and monument. No comparable object has been found in Thuringia to date. The well consists of a vaulted basin chamber made of natural stone. The north-south barrel vault is 5.60 m long. From the west, a second, smaller barrel adjoins the main barrel, which, according to tradition, served as access to the chamber. The Church of the 14 Saints is of Romanesque origin and dates back to 1180. The 2.90 m long and 3.90 m wide sacristy room supports the narrow east tower. The organ of the Süßenborn church was built by Adalbert Foertsch in 1866. After extensive restoration, it has once again resounded with impressive sound since May 2011. The small church in Kromsdorf contains a carved altar from the 15th century. Feininger was fascinated by Germany's wealth of churches and, by 1937, had created around 150 church sketches, which he "finished" in his homeland in America after the Nazis banned them as degenerate art.

On the outskirts of Weimar, at the beginning of the Weimar countryside, lies a beautiful rest area with covered seating, leading directly to Ilmpark. Taubach is home to the oldest documented mill in Thuringia, dating back to 1120, and its waterwheel has been used to generate electricity since 1991.
