In the heart of old Pescara, Gabriele D’Annunzio was born here, in the family home, on March 12, 1863 and spent the first years of his roaring life. Only the five internal rooms maintain the appearance of the original home. The stables and warehouses have been transformed into exhibition spaces. In addition to the collections of memorabilia, you can visit the Library, while in the courtyard, the ceramic portrait of the poet, by Basilio Cascella, is displayed. Gabriele D’Annunzio was born here, in the heart of old Pescara, Corso Mantonè is today the favorite meeting place for young people for its many clubs and restaurants.

The cycle path that runs along the Pescara river in the stretch between the cement factory and the Fater would be a nice route but the cycle paths are, due to zero maintenance, subject to the usual vandalism and receptacles of dirt. Unfortunately, the road to civic sense is still very long.
