Murals in the alleys of Diamante

The Abatemarco is a perennial river about 20 km long. It originates in the Carpanosa mountains and flows into the Tyrrhenian Sea in the municipality of Santa Maria del Cedro. This stretch of road runs along the river, offering fresh air and breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains

Santa Maria del Cedro is a Calabrian municipality belonging to the Riviera dei Cedri, famous for its cedar. The town overlooking the Tyrrhenian Sea offers spectacular landscapes, located near the Pollino National Park. The local cuisine makes extensive use of cedar, a famous product of the area.

Grisolia, located in Calabria, is a charming municipality with a unique location. It is located at 465 meters above sea level, perched on a hill and separated by a ravine from the town of Maierà. This location offers breathtaking views of the Riviera dei Cedri and the Tyrrhenian Sea. Grisolia is also part of the Pollino National Park. The territory includes a variety of landscapes, from the coast to the mountain peaks, and offers the possibility of admiring spectacular views from the Via Panoramica.

The Bridge over the Lao River, 535 meters long, is part of State Road 18 (Lower Tyrrhenian) and was built in the 1930s. Previously, the main access road to Calabria was the Strada delle Calabrie, now SS19. The bridge was renovated in 2002 and connects Marcellina to Orsomarso.

Cirella is an ancient medieval village, now a hamlet of Diamante, in the province of Cosenza, Calabria. Once an independent municipality until 1808, it is located on State Road 18 and opposite the island of Cirella. The town on the mountain originated around the 9th century to escape Saracen incursions. The castle, dating back to the Norman era, was fortified in the 13th-14th century. Other points of interest include the Church of San Nicola Magno, the Church of the Annunziata, the Teatro dei Ruderi and the archaeological remains. In 2003, the film "Forever" was filmed with Giancarlo Giannini in Cirella.
