Condominio Battello (more commonly known as La Nave) is a 1960s building that has become a symbol of Marina Julia, a historic icon whose imaginative bow pointing toward the sea has welcomed generations of visitors to the resort. The Cavana di Monfalcone is a coastal wetland of great natural value, located between Marina Julia and Marina Nova. Included in the European Natura 2000 network, it is designated a Special Area of Conservation (SAC). It extends south of the Brancolo artificial canal, where freshwater from the spring mixes with seawater. The black woodpecker, once relegated to typically Alpine areas, breeds in the surrounding woods.
