Condominio Battello (more commonly known as La Nave) is a 1960s building that has become a symbol of Marina Julia, a historic icon whose imaginative bow pointing toward the sea has welcomed generations of visitors to the resort. After years of neglect, in 2023 it underwent architectural and energy redevelopment, thanks to the collaboration between Hera Servizi Energia and the Municipality of Monfalcone.

The Cavana di Monfalcone is a coastal wetland of great natural value, located between Marina Julia and Marina Nova. Included in the European Natura 2000 network, it is designated a Special Area of Conservation (SAC). It extends south of the Brancolo artificial canal, where freshwater from the spring mixes with seawater. It contains molinieti, a peat bog area, and extensive cladiets that are difficult for humans to access. These conditions have allowed the protection of numerous rare orchid species. The presence of the marsh gladiolus is significant. The water surfaces maintain a rich and diverse aquatic vegetation. Regarding fauna, it hosts amphibian and reptile species of high conservation value, such as the European pond turtle, the Lataste frog, and the great crested newt. Among the bird species, the presence of the common kingfisher, the little bittern, and the red-backed shrike during the breeding season is noteworthy. The black woodpecker, once relegated to typically Alpine areas, breeds in the surrounding woods.

Although unknown to most, the Eugenio Valentinis Canal represents the northern limit of the Mediterranean Sea and, obviously, also the northwestern tip of the Adriatic Sea. The southernmost point of the Mediterranean is located in Libya, at El-Uahat, in the historical and geographical region of Cyrenea.
