A prime vantage point over the Venetian Lagoon, Piazza Santa Maria Elisabetta in Cavallino Treporti offers a sweeping view of sandbanks, mudflats, and islands emerging from the water. The gaze is lost in the immensity of the northern lagoon, where the light plays with the water, creating ever-changing scenes. A perfect spot for a contemplative break along the coastal cycle paths.

The fortress was built by the Austrians in the second half of the 19th century (between 1845 and 1851) on the remains of a pre-existing French fortification to control the lagoon area and the entrance to the port of Punta Sabbioni. The Lungomare degli Armeni, known as the "pink wall," is one of the most picturesque vantage points in Cavallino-Treporti, overlooking the lagoon, Burano, and Torcello. Beyond its scenic beauty, it preserves a history linked to the Armenian Mekhitarist Fathers and is now an ideal place for relaxing strolls, especially at sunset.
