Rocca di Vicopisano, 또는 Rocca del Brunelleschi로도 알려진 이 곳과 그 중세 탑 시스템은 토스카나 지역의 중세 및 르네상스 군사 건축의 가장 특별한 사례 중 하나를 대표합니다. 요새화된 Vicopisano 마을에는 도시 구조에 통합된 13개의 잘 보존된 중세 탑이 있으며, 1435년 Filippo Brunelleschi가 설계한 유명한 요새 단지도 있습니다.

What a beautiful place. We only found one spot where you can pass through, but for bird protection reasons, you shouldn't walk along the embankment. You walk a lot around the lake on the shady paths. Unfortunately, you can't see anything from there because of the tall bushes. It's absolutely peaceful here. There's a little house with a lovely view of the lake.

Was a bit disappointing because the lake was barely visible, you could only look at it from above. On the route along the lake there was 2 meters high vegetation that could not be seen or passed through.

The parish church of San Giovanni Battista di Buti already existed before the year 1000. Listed in 1276 as one of the parishes of the diocese of Pisa, the church was modified and enlarged over the centuries until the early 20th century renovations carried out to a design by R. Zocchi. Even the bell tower, concluded by an unusual domed roof, was obtained from a medieval tower which retained its battlements until the 19th century. (Wikipedia)
