Beautiful gravel road both uphill and downhill, excellent surface and very appreciable for the historicity of the road itself.

On a clearing at the head of the small Valdibarco, in the heart of the Castellari Mountains, there is this beautiful and well-kept farmhouse, secluded and quiet, surrounded by fields and hilly crops: a very suggestive place. I found the building always closed, but without barriers to access the large courtyard: I don't understand if it is an occasional home or is rented for events or used as a b&b.

Alternative path to other paths, on the top of the mountain, not marked on the maps

Be careful if done downhill, as there are several fairly high bumps that are used to divert the water downstream so as not to ruin the driveway.

Easy stretch of military road inserted in the route, ORTOGONALE 1, which started from Villa Zileri and ended after about 50 km, in Campogrosso, close to the first lines during the First World War.

It is not the Staineriana school which is located in via Pendina
