From the start in the Zillertal, the wildly rushing stream accompanies the route steadily uphill towards the Schlegeis reservoir. The trail leads through several impressive gorges where the water has carved deep into the rock. Especially in the morning hours, when the light streams through the narrow rock faces and the fog slowly lifts, an almost mystical atmosphere arises. The bike ride itself is well-developed but challenging: Numerous elevation gains, steeper sections, and tight bends demand stamina – but the reward is magnificent. Spectacular views of waterfalls, rugged rock formations, and the alpine surroundings open up again and again. A perfect combination of enjoyment of nature, physical challenge, and alpine adventure.
