The hut is packed in normal weather. The food is mediocre. But the view of the lake is fantastic.

We missed almost all of the view today due to low-hanging clouds/mist, but the occasional glimpse we got was impressive. The route itself is quite challenging. If you're even slightly hesitant, it's best to skip it. The wet rocks and wet path made it extra challenging. The huts are well-equipped and frequently visited by hut hikers. The sheep and cows on the path are always amusing.

A dreamy path through the forest along the gorge. From Mayrhofen, you can take a beautiful circular walk to the Devil's Bridge and back down into the valley 😉
