The Prarostino Freedom Lighthouse is the symbolic monument of the town and stands in a panoramic position on the Pellice Valley. Inaugurated on 18 June 1967, it was commissioned by the population and local administrators to commemorate the 600 partisans who fell in the 51 municipalities of the Pinerolo valleys during the war of Liberation. Designed by architects Roberto Gabetti and Aimaro Isola, the monument is a 15-meter-high rough stone lattice tower, surmounted by a lighthouse whose light is visible from afar. Every year, at the end of June, the Municipality organizes a commemorative ceremony in memory of the fallen and the values of the Resistance. Just before the lighthouse, on the other side of the square, there is a charging station for e-bikes.

3월 25, 2025, Gheisa d'la Tana Cave
The Gheisa d’la Tana is a natural cavity located in Val d’Angrogna, a side valley of Val Pellice, particularly known for its history linked to the Waldensian community. The name, which in Piedmontese means "Church of the Tana", recalls the use that the Waldensians made of it during the period of religious persecution, when they clandestinely celebrated religious functions in this natural hiding place. The cave is located in a wooded area on the left side of the valley and can be reached via a short hiking trail, marked and suitable for everyone.

The tower and lighthouse located near the center of Prarostino, is of recent construction (1967) and was erected in memory of 600 partisans killed by neo-fascism. You can climb to the top of the balcony to admire the splendid panorama, even if the passage in the steps is a bit narrow, but protected by a railing.

The name "Waldensians" comes from the Middle Ages. The Catholic Church used this term to describe the followers of Valdes from Lyon, who founded a movement of itinerant preachers around 1173. Valdes, known as "Petrus Waldus" since 1350, was a wealthy citizen of Lyon. Since he could not read the Latin Bible himself, he had it translated into the vernacular in 1173. He then gave his property to the poor and began to preach publicly. He soon gathered a circle of men and women around him. In 1532, the last itinerant preachers and their followers joined the Reformation and founded a Reformed Church in the Cottian Alps. Its members now called themselves "Waldensians". They were convinced that their ancestors had been Protestant Christians long before the Reformation. Today the Reformed Waldensian Church exists in Italy and South America. Beautiful flat cycle path, very suitable for families and children. Being asphalted it would be more suitable for BDC or gravel

Neoclassical building built in 1806, with an interesting history of earthquakes and persecutions. From the square you can enjoy a beautiful view over the valley. It is located on the old road of San Giovanni, which is an excellent alternative to the provincial road at the bottom of the valley to go up from Bricherasio to Torre Pellice.

Beautiful cycle path, created on the layout of an old disused railway. Virtually all level, except for the ramps of a newly built bridge. At the time of writing (October 2021), there is a stretch of dirt road of about 1 km in the municipality of Bibiana, quite challenging - better not to have road tires.

Also known as "Via della Pietra", it is a cycle path created on the site of the disused Bricherasio - Barge railway. It is completely asphalted, except for a stretch in the municipality of Bibiana which is on a gravel road, rather demanding (as of 23 October 2021). Apart from that dirt stretch and a bridge with a rather steep ramp, it presents no difficulties, and is an excellent outing for everyone, as well as an excellent route for road bike training. -- Updates June 2023. 1) The dirt stretch in the municipality of Bibiana has been asphalted. 2) The steep ramps on the bridge have been softened.

Excellent recovery of an ancient railway. At the moment (September 2021) it is completely paved from Barge on the Bagnolo-Bibiana border, while in the Bibiana-Bricherasio stretch it alternates between dirt and asphalted sections. Rest areas and water points along the entire route; moreover, it passes through all the villages it passes through, so it is easy to find a place to stop.
